Only explanation I have it was a bolt on and paint repair. There is no sign of any inner fender repair or paint work under the hood. Bottom line is I dont know for sure. My best guess is it was a light hit or scrape and was cheaper to replace the fender??

Very nice car.

A tip: the combo pack of wire brushes from Autozone combined w/a little sweat effort gets rid of the corrosion and rust on the engine bits. Mine was way worse when I got it out of the crate years back. Really fine sandpaper for 'BMW M Power' letters too.

Surprised. Seems to be struggling for what reason I don't know. This sounds like it would be a great non garage queen. There have been basketcases that have been buffed to luster that have fetched more.
