I decided to officially part with my project. This is the third and final e30 I will build so with great reservation, I'm listing it for sale.
You are looking at what started as a 1991 Bmw 318i. The chassis of the car has about 230k miles but much of it has been rebuilt. I bought the car at a donation auction with slight damage in the rear and have been driving it as I originally bought it. I first rebuilt the m42 but I soon realized it just wasn't enough.
I bought a swapped e30 parts car that had this m50v swap. I swapped everything into my chassis and have been driving it since. The P.O of the e30 parts car stated the m50 had approximately 100k on it and I've put about 10k on it. Ive done a ton of work to this car to make it daily drive-able and super fun. The following is a list of things the e30 has installed.
M50v with ZF gearbox
Turner motorsports chip.
Long tube header with custom exhaust (Catalytic converter included)
3.25 LSD
Ca-Tuned full weld-in coil-overs.
5 lug adapters 18mm front/20mm rear
16x8 bbs style 5's with lots of tire remaining
New wheel bearings
Full front suspension rebuild
Electric fan conversion installed but not hooked up at the moment
Mint interior (dash is cracked but comes with cover)
Grant steering wheel
Sony deck
ZHP weighted shift knob
Husco armrest
New floor mats
Oem ellipsoids
DDM tuning 4300k HID kit
Bavarian Autosport coil-packs
Viper one mile range 2-way pager alarm with functional remote start.
That's all that I can think of at the moment.
I also have rear poly urethane sub-frame and trailing arm bushings that are not installed but come with the car.
The bad:
When I installed the motor, I noticed the car had a noisy throw out bearing. It hasn't gotten worse but its something that would eventually need to be replaced.
It has a very small oil leak coming from the main rear seal which would be super easy to replace when the throw out bearing would be worked on.
The car was hit in the back when I bought it. I haven't touched it since and it does not effect the drive-ability of the car what-so-ever (See Pictures)
Original Paint is old and starting to fade
When the car was donated it was subsequently "junked". Meaning, when I registered it, it became a salvaged title.
That's all I can think of for the moment. Check out this link to check out by build thread here on R3vlimited
I have been driving this car as a daily for a while and have never had any issues. It fires up every time without hesitation. The car is currently registered in California and the tags are current. I have the title in hand and its ready to go. SOLD. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (916) 202-3441
