This a solid solid car. Dont let its track time scare you. Besides tires/brakes getting worked hard, the car is not used up and tired. Shift point is usually 6400 or so, if even that.....the s50 loves it. Never never over revved...... never mishifted....ever...under my watch. Ive owned her long enough..she has no surprises.
B/Rot exterior/beige interior
This car was bought/set up for track fun....its NOT a clapped out, beat, tired race car. Its also suited for street duty. The interior is basically full/complete minus the 2 oe comfort seats..which I still have, and it has no oe seat belts currently..just harnesses. They are "out of date" for sanctioned racing, but fine for my DE use. There is also a bolt in 4 pt roll bar..totally removable.
I drive her to/fro all events....I just had her out 2 weeks ago.

She was tracked w/ the m20 until @ 4 yrs ago. I then had a pro shop do the swap.
I wanted more power..the m20 ran just fine.
We used a 96k mile s50 that I found in Texas from a bf.com ad. The engine was owned by a well respected forum member over there and he then sold the car to the owner I purchased it from...he then bent the car and parted it out. He's actually still around here and other BMW forums. I spoke w/ them numerous times !! before making the decision to buy.
1995 s50 obd1 w/@ 110k miles.( at times my speedo shuts down so Im not 100 % on miles..but I log everything..so Im close)
obd1 ex manis. I run M1 15/50..and change every 4 track days.

Head was "decked/cleaned/partially refreshed" @2.5 yrs ago. (She never overheated on my watch, but after track sessions she'd puke up a bit at times...and hoses were really hard. I became convinced of a minor gasket issue or even perhaps a crack?...she was clearly building combustion pressure .On street no symptoms at all..ever.
(Turns out head needed a .009 shave. Upon install we also added a water temp gauge inside cockpit, we use a sender in the head.)
I can produce a list of what else we did to head re new parts.
Vanos seals done at same time as above
(She runs under 180 on most street driving....and almost never goes above 195 on hot track days.)
2.5 inch single pipe exhaust. Downpipes enter a single Magnaflow hi flow cat into a single in/out Borla turbo exhaust...both cans are SS.
g260 trans( @ 138k miles..original). Redline fluid... 2 yrs old.
stock clutch fan delete
Spal pusher fan w/ thermo controlled switch ( 318i switch)..goes on @ 188 degrees.
Mishimoto rad
Samco hoses( blue)
H and R race springs( like spec e30)
Koni SA GC shocks( Valved by GC). Short frt inserts. Both frt and rr are TOP adjust.

RRT fixed camber plates( car has @ 3.2 neg camber in frt w/ this set up). Rear has no adjustment. has @ 2.3 neg camber.
She sees maybe up to @1800k miles /yr...The above set up is @ 10 yrs old....@ 18k miles.
M coupe finned diff cover.
3.73 lsd......w/1 yo redline.
Team Dynamic wheels...15 x 7...e 30 specific...blk
Toyo RA 1 225/50 15 tires. I shave them when new...the current set has about 5 days left on them..hard to say.,.I run em to cords!..as most RA 1 drivers do..lol..great track tire..not the fastest but they wear like iron. I drive to events ON them..and pray for dry weather..lol
Brakes..frts are Massive STREET kit( instlld 3 yrs ago)..VW corrado rotors(meyle)..new a/o April 2015..currently have DTC 60 pads...@ 65 % life ..
rears are stock calis( lt. rear replaced Sept 14 w/ a rebuild). PF 06 pads.. in there now
UUC "blue" SS lines.( instlld 3 yrs ago)

z3 ssk set up.....set up is @ 3.5 yrs old ( I have a UUC "twisted" DSSR for 24v cars..not instlld..it comes w/ car)

Momo Mod 07 steering wheel ( suede). This is in honor of the Porsche 911 cup car wheel the factory used. Its dished....and awesome

Corbeau race bucket/tube frame pass seat( really never used..its @ 5 yrs old or so..has sun fade)
GForce harnesses ( driver has 5 pt camlock, pass has latch and link..both great for DE, but outdated for sanctioned racing)
Autopower 4 pt roll bar.
Gauges installed in dash area...VDO oil temp, oil press, and Autometer water temp. Amber warning light set up for oil press.
Dash has a tiny crack..maybe 2..very small
