excuse me sir, but just because you paid money to put the car in your name doesnt mean that the car is yours. you put no time into it like egk did. he built the car. not you. it will remain his in the eyes of all of us. much like MR 325 built his old car and the trailer (which shows much more than you paying your friend to install a rocker arm for you). even if they dont own them anymore.. they are still theirs forever.

So your car doesn't belong to you because BMW did all the work. Okay so no one likes this kid, everyone likes the car. Everyone wants him to go away, so someone buy the fucking car and get him to move on. This is all I see every where I go, if you want him to leave then let him sell the car.excuse me sir, but just because you paid money to put the car in your name doesnt mean that the car is yours. you put no time into it like egk did. he built the car. not you. it will remain his in the eyes of all of us. much like MR 325 built his old car and the trailer (which shows much more than you paying your friend to install a rocker arm for you). even if they dont own them anymore.. they are still theirs forever.
I agree that this is a nice car and think that it should go to a person that will take better care but that wont happen with all the negatives because then he will NEVER sell the car.Comment

lol, spirituality aside... I have to disagree. Even though I would consider a car that I spent lots of time and energy on "mine forever" in jest, it's just not the case.excuse me sir, but just because you paid money to put the car in your name doesnt mean that the car is yours. you put no time into it like egk did. he built the car. not you. it will remain his in the eyes of all of us. much like MR 325 built his old car and the trailer (which shows much more than you paying your friend to install a rocker arm for you). even if they dont own them anymore.. they are still theirs forever.
The second he paid money and signed that title, it became his reguardless of what anyone thinks. I know people are pissed that the condition of the car "deteriorated" after the sale, but sometimes it's bound to happen.
I'd like to think that when I sell my 335i, the new owner will represent it as "Euroshark's old 335i" or something, but as much as I dislike it, the fact is that whoever buys it owns it; it's their car. Period.'88 528e /// '88 M5 /// '89 951 /// '98 E430 /// '02 M5Comment

not to bash your sale but you picked up this car to flip, what were you thinking the car would fetch after you picked it up?Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs!

Anyways... :-? Listen, I am a person here too. I completely understand all of your feelings towards me and the fact I am selling ed's car. But to clear things up. One, I am not just some punk ass kid who had his mommy buy him a car so he can sell it. Fact, I am a 19 year old full time student who worked for a telecommunications business over the summers to buy this car. I had the utmost respect for the vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not like it as much as my 328i that I had perviously. I did in fact purchase the car for $9000, but I returned the car to the market for $10.5k. I felt the car was that desireable and in the condition to pull that price. I mean everywhere I went in the vehicle I had people literally swarming to me asking about it. Little did I know how much it would make the other people on the forums mad. I mean common, this is my first and only life I did not know. All I say now is that before you make assumptions to how the current condition of the vehicle is, take a minute and come check it out. I sware not a single person here would be disappointed, period. It is still in my opinion one of the nicest e30s I have ever seen and the nicest I have ever seen in person. Thanks again and bump for the hopeful sale.Last edited by m3rob95; 02-27-2007, 04:31 PM.Comment

It's not yet enough of a basketcase car to fit your normal taste.
Let this guy own it for a few more months, then it will be screwed up enough to fit in with your current stable, Mike.
My $5 says toolboy tries the rocker arm repair himself, screws the motor - then Mike steps up, buys the car & cuts it in half just to prove he can weld a car together.
Sorry man, you buy it - you own it. You build it - it's yours.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.Comment

Rob, these forums are like a community. Members build friendships, due business and support each other through the trials and tribulations they experience with their cars. Our common interest is, of course, the E30. I'm a noobie myself to these forums (not to E30 ownership though), but I sense that the previous owner of your car was very well liked, and his car was quite admired.
You've admitted to buying this car for the sole purpose of making money. I'll bet a lot of members without the means to buy the car when it was originally for sale resent you, since they would gladly have bought and cherished the car if they could.
It probably also strikes a negative chord with the members here and on E30Tech that the car has suffered both cosmetically and mechanically while in your care. People here really value E30's, and you made it quite clear that you didn't care for them and preferred instead, and E36. Therefore, your presence on this board was solely to try and 'flip' a car. Not the best way to engender good will.
My 'apology' to EGK2 was merely that I feel sorry that his old car has become the center of such a soap opera - although it has been pretty entertaining.
For everyone's sake, good luck with the sale.Cheers,
David

I do not know who you are calling "toolboy" me or this mike fool, but anyways I am having a professional do the install so I do not think Mike will EVER get a hold of it.It's not yet enough of a basketcase car to fit your normal taste.

I hear everything you are saying, me myself am a fan of all bmw really, I was just giving the e30 a try. Everything that has happened cosmetically and mechanically is not due to my neglegence or disrespect to the vehicle at all. I have had several cars that I have owned with out ever getting a scratch. This was sadly not the case, bad luck and a series of minor events led up to equal a lot. I will consider selling for $8500 considering all that has happened. Thanks again, and if anyone has any specific questions, PM me.Rob, these forums are like a community.
