You're so ridiculous. You want $5750 for the car broken, yet you boost the price nearly $4000 to get it fixed by a mechanic.

Just sell the car for $5750 you fucking tool.

MR 325's trailer owns everything about you owning Ed's car. If you even know the car MR 325 just sold you would have more respect.

Sell the car cheap and get the hell off our forums.

Not to hijack (but I totally am because this is getting gay), Jesse30, if you really want a shell, I'll hook you up. I think I'm gonna just yank the motor out of the E30 and stick it in my E28. I have too many fucking cars and I need to get rid of two, maybe three... So if you want a cheep, clean shell PM me.

He has an e30 and e36 both with s50b30 :) He is a good guy and hopefully he wont charge me an arm and a leg. One mechanic who I had quote the job said it can be replaced without pulling the head and only pulling the radiator....

The car itself is still as clean as it ever was. Besides the rocker arm it is basically "the cleanest e30 I have seen in years!" as stated by my mechanics master tech, John.
Sounds about right, glad to know it will be done correctly.

Our common interest is, of course, the E30. I'm a noobie myself to these forums (not to E30 ownership though), but I sense that the previous owner of your car was very well liked, and his car was quite admired.

You've admitted to buying this car for the sole purpose of making money. I'll bet a lot of members without the means to buy the car when it was originally for sale resent you, since they would gladly have bought and cherished the car if they could.

It probably also strikes a negative chord with the members here and on E30Tech that the car has suffered both cosmetically and mechanically while in your care. People here really value E30's, and you made it quite clear that you didn't care for them and preferred instead, and E36. Therefore, your presence on this board was solely to try and 'flip' a car. Not the best way to engender good will.

My 'apology' to EGK2 was merely that I feel sorry that his old car has become the center of such a soap opera - although it has been pretty entertaining.

For everyone's sake, good luck with the sale.
I completly agree with you on this one; and I think everybody needs to understand that Ed doesn't own the car anymore:-/ Its done, its over. Its like somebody having a kid(the car) and then the kid moving away to college and getting married to a dumbass(selling the car). I do not think that Rob intentionally did anything to hurt the car or the cars value, other than maybe being young and not really knowing what he got himself into(buying a VERY sought after e30 that most e30 owners could not have justified purchasing). I think a lot of it is jealousy, but whats done is done. It sucks you broke a rocker arm, usually they break at the high RPM's, and with you being 19 I'm sure you enjoyed revving the car up and shifting on redline. I hope maybe the mod's can clean this thread up a little, and maybe you can sell the car. I would think that if you sold it for $6,000 or even $6,500 non-fixed, that that would be a reasonable price. You can't expect people to pay for natures mistakes, its normal depreciation of the value of the car. I'm one that usually never pays more than 2k for an e30, as I enjoy wrenching and making the car "mine".

I went way overboard on this but I felt that too many people were bashin this kid for stuff that was out of his control. Whats happened has happened, just let the kid sell the car!

                  lol, jesus...

It's not hard to change a rocker arm. Pulling the shaft out is the only challenge, and an idiot with a long ass 3/8" extension and a big fucking hammer can get it out without messing up. Same idiot with the extension and hammer can get it back in to, the only challenge there is lining up the cutouts for the head bolts (on M30s at least). The springs and retaining clips are a no-brainer.

You guys are making a huge deal out of a mundane detail.

Only when I need it. I would leave it on more often but it kills gas mileage of course.
