FS: 1991 318is (Parts or track car only) NORCAL

1991 BMW 318is Alpine White, Tan interior, 5spd. I was going to strip this car down for the track but unfortunately I have to move to New York for work, so the car has got to go.

This car can NOT be registered in the state of California. There's no title, if you'd like you could try to contact the Dismantler who originally had the car. The car has been "junked" and therefore can not be registered on the road. If you know of a loophole, by all means register the car. (note: I do not promote a re-vin, but that would be a way around it.)

The car runs great and the body is in pretty fair condition. I don't have time to part it out myself, but I'm sure you could part the car out and make more than the cost I'm selling at.

Here are the pics, please email me with any questions.

so it runs and everything? Just can't be registered? Wouldn't it just have a salvage title?

It was junked, and there is no title. The DMV informed me that if the title can be tracked down or if some sort of paper work from the dismantler can be obtained that it MIGHT be able to be registered as a salvage with CHP

Known issues are the P/S has a slow leak, the temp and oil gauges don't work (needs senders), the rear exhaust hanger needs to be replaced, and the sunroof doesn't open.

Car is in Sacramento. The car runs and drives. You can get a 1-day sticker from the DMV. That's all they said they could do for me.
