1990 325ic for sale or trade in TN, lots new!

I picked this car up 2 weeks ago when I found myself without a daily driver. According to the PO (no receipts) the car has new CAs, CABs, ball joints, rod ends, guibo, shocks (KYB) and springs. Timing belt was recently replaced. It has also had a new carrier bearing and the ac has been updated. The seats were just re-upolstered by a local shop and a new heavy canvas top installed.

    Heres what I know.

The odometer does not work and true mileage is unknown. It reads 174,000 but the seller told me that it was replacement for the original that quit and the car doesnt have that many miles on it. Who knows, but I would not hesitate to drive this car around the world.

The interior is excellent!. There is one small crack in the dash ( a factory option I think). There is a puncture to the drivers side door covering (the size of a quarter) near the back edge of the door. The seats are very well done in synthetic leather and virtually brand new. Carpet is v.good but would be better with a shampoo. Everything works except odometer and the gas gauge occasionally sticks. Heated seats are not hooked up. JVC stereo etc.

The exterior is very straight and 100% rust free. The paint is nicked and chipped but it is nearly ding free and straight as a string. All panels and paint are original, I think. The paint shines well enough. Doors, trunk and hood work as they should. I cant find a drop of rust anywhere. The top is perfect. A very clean car.

Mechanically the car is excellent. It starts, drives and runs very well and my instinct tells me the seller was 100% truthful. It feels pretty lively to me. I have driven it about 1000 miles and it looks like it may be down 1/4 quart of oil. It is mechanically very solid. I dont like the KYBs and the springs stink, but they do look relatively new and work fine for a cushy ride. I am not a fan of the 4wheel drive look. The wheels are 17" and the tires are 225/35/17 but they are running pretty thin and should be replaced soon. The black plastic trim that attaches to the front bumper is cracked and should be replaced. The car needs new brakes so I will fix them before the new owner takes possession. They will be perfect before you get the car.

It sounds like I am picking the car apart and I am. I hate it when I buy cars long distance and they arrive full of surprises. To be truthful this car is in much better shape than the vast vast majority of the verts out there. It looks good and runs and drives great. The interior is absolutely excellent.
There are no drips, leaks, squeeks or rattles etc. The A/C works great and all of the factory options seem to function well.

Price : $5000 (about the cost of the new parts, interior and top). Honestly it is worth every penny and probably a bit more.

Trades? Looking for a 325is driver that is straight and clean. Would consider e30 or e36 and especially m50/s50 e30 transplants. I would much rather trade than sell outright!

Why am I selling? I just dont like verts, never have, probably never will unless I trip over an XKE. I bought it in a time of need and it served it's purpose well. It is a nice car and a credit to its type, it's just not for me.

pictures - As you can tell I dont post much and have no idea how to get pictures on here. I have tons and will email to any seriously interested parties. Please dont ask me for pictures just because you are bored.

me - I have 230+ feedbacks on EBAy (100% positive). I have also sold e30s to 2 forum members. I do my best to accurately represent the stuff I sell. Having said that I am far from perfect and thus dont offer a guarantee on anything, especially since I didnt do the work myself.

Email me directly at 5rings@netscape.com or you can call me at (615) 653-6689. Dont PM me or you will wait an eternity for a response.

Once again I forget the important stuff. It is a manual and the clutch and shifter feel quite tight and precise.

        Sorry guys!
