    California '88 325iX, 68k

I've had it for 2 years, only put 4k on it and its got a whopping 68,000 original miles. I've floated it out there for interest, but whenever I take it for a spin...ugh, hate to let it go. Strong, clean, no rust, nice paint, interior, ice cold ac. What do you think a reasonable sale price would be?

Thanks for everyone's contribution...car was SOLD last night and buyer/seller are both *very* pleased!

Sweet car. I saw this on roadfly but the price was too much for me. Let me know if you decide to change your position on the price after you get insight on this or other forums.

      Thanks, Steve

I'd start at $7k, min. 2 door, 5 speed, low miles, very clean - there are lots of ix's on the market, but they're usually either rust buckets or automatics (or both). plus the 88's have strong drivetrains.

          Nice Car!

          Nice car!

I paid $5,500 for my 1989 325iX automatic with vinyl seats and 90,000 miles. Plus, I had to fly to Idaho, drive it home, then spend another couple of grand on maintenance and repairs.

If I had a spare few grand that would be my daily.

                Beautiful car.

Sorry to respond so late. The iX was sold last night to a buyer who flew in and drove home in wintery conditions! Made it home safe/sound of course!

                          yes, sold...

The car sold for $8500. It was soooo clean... I threw new tires on it, detailed it, ala 4ce30, changed the oil. And then...sadly (but pleased) watched it drive off into the sunset, actually North towards the the Pacific Northwest, where a snow storm was brewing...and the next day was quite happy to hear that the car/driver easily braved the elements to make it home safely and w/o incident.
