    FS: 1988 325iC, track ready

I've moved from the suburbs to the city, and I don't have room for the E30 anymore. It's got 180k on the clock, was over-maintained by the PO and had quite a bit done by me also.

    Upgrades:
-Welded 4-point rollbar, installed by Evil Genius Racing in Sacramento, CA.
    -New leather on all seats
    -Koni Yellows + H&R springs
-Rota lightweight Panasport knockoffs wearing Yokohama ES100s, lots of tread (only 5k on this stuff)
    -MarkD chip
    -027 AFM + 19# injectors
    Needs:
-Top, or at least a seal kit, the top fabric has a couple small but patched holes
-Guibo, there's a bit of drivetrain slack
-Stupid relay system thinks the brake lights are bad

It had the timing belt done 10k ago, trans rebuilt at 130k miles, new cooling system, many other new parts. As I said, it's been probably over-maintained, given its age and mileage.

The paint is nothing special, a few rub-throughs and dings here & there, but no rust. It's a perfect track day/auto-x car or if you wanna just go thrash a few corners up in the mountains. Also has a Kenwood deck & Fosgate amp, probably a good spot to start if you want to upgrade the audio in the car.

Not pictured is the MTech I wheel I installed recently.

$4500/OBO, car is located in San Rafael, CA

Am I asking too much for this car?

Honestly, I think the price is fair, but there's just not much of a market for track prepped verts. Most club racers or occasional DS guys are looking for closed roof E30s given their signifigant weight advantage and added rigidity. Also, the market for verts in the winter is pretty soft.

You might be better off removing the roll bar, putting the rear seat and trim panels back in, swapping the Rotas for stock bottlecaps and selling it as a nicely modded vert. Just my $.02. Best of luck with the sale.

Does the top go up with the roll bar in place? I think it's a nice little hot rod. You're price is fine, it just takes time to sell an personallized car. How's the engine compartment look? It's too far from me, but I'm interested in how the bar and top work together.

OT: What size/offset are your Rota RB's? I think they look great.

The bar clears the top just fine, and there's still another 4 inches before you reach the top of the headrest.

            The Rota RB's I ordered from http://www.vmwerks.com/

I think it's a great car, I love to see convertibles that can do something other than just cruise. I'd put the back seat back in for cosmetic reasons (looks kinda messy), but other than that it looks great. Maybe paint the aluminum bumpers black?
