AC has been deleted. She could easily cruise back to Chicago, but you wouldn't want to do it until summer without some snow tires and the heater glitch fixed.

And 300ft/lbs torque stock. It feels like you get all 300 by 2500rpm. It is big fat lazy power, no downshifting, no drama, just push harder on the go pedal and she goes.

Bump and good luck with the sale.

As you can see, all she needs is some new fabric on the drivers seat to be mint. Note blip on dash just above glove box latch. Dash is perfect otherwise.

Anyone know what an m60 weighs in comparison to an s52? How about an m52 (non aluminum)? Also, does the V8 end up with less weight past the front axle than an s52 (v8 = shorter and wider than I6)? I'm quite interested in the car, but wondering if swapping a V8 in compromises the handling too much.

I have not been able to find consistent weight specs, so I can only estimate a weight gain of 60-100 lbs for the m60 and tranny. This weight is more centralized (as you mentioned) so changes in weight distribution are very minimal. You will not notice any more change in handling with this swap than you would if you put a rider in the passenger seat. Basically, a non-issue.

I thought this beast wasn't going to last @ that price. Can't even imagine how much will that clean a swap will cost from scratch. AKG is one of the greatest shops, I've seen nothing but perfect stuff from those guys. GL with the sale, and as a true R3vver I only wish I could afford it.

Yeah, the work from AKG is one of the few remaining examples of old world craftsmanship.

                          Still for sale...

Very nice. I'm really interested in swapped e30s right now, too bad I'm looking to pay about half that.

Looking through the components, there have been no expenses spared. You didn't just throw on some h&r springs and hawk pads and scream "racing suspension and brakes!"

Again, nice work and good luck.

I'm actually looking for a nice, stock '88-'91 325is or '91 318is for dd/stock class autox fun, but thanks for the tip on your ix. If you know of anyone local who's thinking about unloading a nice iS, please let me know.

Good luck, and. . . bump.
