I hate to see you get rid of it, Robert.
If I could justify picking up another car, I'd buy it from you and let you buy it back for a premium when you missed it enough.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

Honkey - I have a friend that travels to and from Norfolk VA often on the weekends. He might be willing to drive it up there for me.

So far there is a r3v member in Alcoa, TN that has first dibs to look at the car. I've had some Craigslist lowballers call me but honestly if I cannot get close to the asking price I would rather keep it. Too much blood, sweat, and cursing went into this car.

I started her up yesterday and drove her around the neighorhood... Oh how I will miss this car.

If I cannot get the asking price I may not.

But being married and having all these medical bills puts me in a desperate situation.

Allen - tried calling you yesterday and today. The local buyer backed out and my buddy from Norfolk said he can hitch a ride to TN tonight and drive my e30 to VA tomorrow if you were still interested.

                LMK.

Yes, it's still up for grabs.

As mentioned before I have some hefty medical bills coming in associated with my recent cancer treatment and all toys must go. Seeing that I get to live to see another day is worth it and I can always build a new one. As it is I bought a house right before I got sick and must keep a roof over my family's head.

I've answered all PMs to those of you who have inquired.

I did mine the old fashion way... drilled holes and bolted it down to the chasis. You can fab a bracket but the problem was no matter how low the seat it would seat the driver too high.

Chattanooga is a quick drive for me. I'm sure I could arrange someone to follow me down to drop it off. I also have some friends in the Chattanooga area that know the car well and wouldn't mind seeing at some of the local SCCA meets.

Thanks for the heads up. A note to those who are trying to get a loan to buy a car in general. Banks aren't very willing to give car loans on cars older than 10-15 years in age. Don't be surprised if they aren't willing to loan you $3500 on a 22 year old car. You're better off trying you luck with a personal unsecured loan if you have a good relationship with your bank.

I've had to younger buyer who wanted to buy but could not because their bank wouldn't loan them the money so I just wanted to mention this to anyone else who plans to go this route.
