Trade? My '89 325iX 4dr Auto for your RWD manual e30

Just testing the waters at this time. I have an '89 325ix automatic, 4 door alpine white w/ tan interior. No rust. Good paint. Good interior. Comfort seats, in vinyl - heated seats work. Drives good but needs new shocks soon. Tires are new Hankook all seasons. Dash has 1 hairline crack starting, otherwise very nice. Manual sunroof. Going to replace timing belt, water pump, distributor cap & rotor next week. Just adjusted valves. No stereo installed but I have a nice blaupunk I would include. New factory exhaust and cat. New brakes.

Got this for the wife but she's bummed that a manual swap is not really feasible in this model. Yes, I know it's possible, but I'm not going to spend the money or time tracking down these increasingly rare parts. I think we'd be happier w/ a RWD yet manual car. Coupe or sedan, doesn't matter. No early model m10 cars, though, Would really like a later model, even an m42 would be nice but iS, eta, ES – it's all good. Just needs to be in similar condition to our car, no bad rust or electric basket cases. If I were selling this outright, I'd probably put $6500 on it or so (just as a reference).

Located in Omaha, willing to travel around midwest or CO areas. I can grab some pics if there's any serious interest, just posting this on a whim so I didn't have time to mess w/ more pics. I have a could on my phone but the car is on the lift now prepping for the timing belt job so not the most photogenic moment.

I have a 1988 325iX lacchsilber coupe, that has a new head, transfer case in good shape, 5 speed in good shape, brand new koni yellow struts and H&R springs (0 miles on them). Everything mechanical is in great shape, it just the body is beyond my ability to repair with rust, and it killed my desire to fix it up. The car has been sitting for about 2 years now so it might not turn over immediately (was running when parked) but from the flywheel back its all still in great shape. It has a ton of extra goodies like a crack free dash, husco armrest, set of plastic bumpers, wheels and tires etc. I've avoided a part-out so far, because its a nearly complete car. Here's a link to a thread I made - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/for...a-the-88-325ix

If you did want to do a manual swap to keep your car, you could drop this drive train right in and hold onto the ix. Ive thought about doing the opposite for a long time (buying a clean IX shell) but they don't exist... PM me if you're interested

      Ketchup.
      We should talk.
      I've got a 91 ix Manual 4dr.
My girlfriend / partner can't drive stick.
I'm bummed but need an option.

Was going to sell it and buy some stupid prius or something and be miserable.

      Maybe we swap!
