Hey guys,
Unfortunately, all great things come to an end. I am helping my grandfather sell his 1987 325iS. He bought it new back in 87, and has been the only owner He day drove it until he bought an E36. It sat garaged (covered & plugged into a trickle charger & driven about once every two months) until he handed me the keys several years ago. It is only since the beginning of this year that I have put effort into restoring it. However, we have made the decision to sell (would be keeping if it was a manual). Asking $6999 for it (OBO), as it is bone stock, rust-free, interior is impeccable, and has an uncracked dash.
The car has 251,506 miles on the odometer. Clean title in hand. Registration paid through 2020.
Work I have done this year (2020):
- New tires
- New antenna grommet seal
- New fuel filter
- All new fluids
- New spark plugs
- Full diagnostic by Bullet Performance, Costa Mesa
- New catalytic converter
- Air filter cleaned
- Front license plate holder integrated into front bumper
- Black plastic/rubber trim restored
- Faded BMW emblems replaced
- New windshield wipers
- All pictures taken March 2020
Pros:
- Highly desirable uncracked dash (garaged entire life)
- Rust-free frame and body (CA car)
- Runs excellent
- Starts with no issues
- Interior leather in perfect condition
- Clean title (registration paid for 2020)
- Passes CA emissions (thanks to the new cat)
Cons:
- Small dent on the hood
- Rear metal bumper has a small crack
- AC needs to be recharged
- Small chips in paint due to age of car
- Mileage is a little high at 251,000. (All (grandpa) hwy miles.)
Do not hesitate to contact me for further details.
