Shit, I remember when Blunt was selling this for around $1200 (6-10 years ago). Everyone gave him shit because most people's cars were worth less than $2k.

For $1000, I woulda bought this and just put it in storage. It'd be fantastic if BMW would make another run of parts! Can the BMW CCA get us leverage?

I dont know about the OP, but I did get one of these dash from a BMW dealer parts dept. about 6 years ago for - I think it was about $950.
My memory is it was shipped from South Africa, and they guy told me it was one of the last ones in inventory - maybe even the last one he had access to.

I actually think it looks really good. Yes the material is incredibly slightly different but I actually like it better, it's slightly less shiny and feels very nice quality.
It's OEM, and anyone who'e seen it including some BMW concours, etc. really loved it. It's a very cool thing in my opinion.

However, at the time - some of the prior posters are right! When I mention I was paying 1K for a new dash, people crapped all over me!
I would think one these days would go for a lot more than $1K unless it's a scam or the guy doesn't know what he has.

I remember vividly when the last of the original dashes were gone. They were about $1500 at the time (I'm guessing about 2008?). Then BMW made a big batch of them, and you could find them as little as $750 with a wholesale account. The prices crept up as they were selling, and the last time I looked my price was $1150 when there was just a few left in stock (in US). Peerless was posting about them when they came out, for those who remember Rob.
