Blue Devil, would you mind sending me a PM with a quick explanation of how to remove it easily without much cutting, etc.?

I just bought an 87 325e with the phone inside and would like to remove it instead of just cutting it off by the center console.

Some cell towers may still have analog circuits working....so you could ONLY call 911...,allot of farmers would keep them in their tractors,in case of emergency

the FCC banned the analog frequencies. All cell towers had to cease transmitting on them.

What would be VERY cool is to see somebody somewhere take the internals of a cell phone and mate it to the carphone so all you see is the carphone, but the calls it makes would be on Verizon, ATT, Sprint, etc.

Then it'd actually be functional.
