FS: Recaro front seats from a 1991 GTI - Milwaukee, WI

I have a pair of front Recaro seats that were taken out of a 1991 Volkswagen GTI that I had planned on installing into my 1990 325i. I've found a full cardinal red interior instead and now I need to sell the Recaros. They're in very nice shape. I'd prefer a sale to a fellow midwesterner and not have to deal with shipping. I'm asking $300 obo.

IIRC, I think these seats are the ones that have a VW bottom and cannot be used in e30's like the earlier GTI's.

Unfortunately, that is correct. These are not usable in anything other than a Mk1/Mk2 VW without some serious modification/fabrication. The top halves will bolt onto a power Recaro bottom though..

Check out the Recaro thread; the differences in the VW Recaros are all listed. This particular model is one of the only ones that can't be used.

Sorry man, but you need to research a little better before you try to sell something. These seats will not work in an E30.

A little over half-way down the page, the differences in the VW Recaros are listed. Yours can't be used without a lot of cutting and welding.

They're right, these are the VW Recaros that can't be used in an E30, the base is VW's own (not made by Recaro), and the mounting system is part of the seat base itself.
