1991 325i Body Parts So Cal

Here are a couple of pictures of the hood. There is a small chip in the front lip which is shown in the pictures. There are also four very small dents in the hood. I tried to get them in a picture but they are so small it was not possible. One of the dents is on the front lip about 4 inches left of the chip shown in the picture. The other ones is in the center of the hood and on the drivers side near the rear of the hood. The dents are so small that I had to clean the hood and look hard to find them. Paint is in good condition. I would like $85 for the hood. HOOD SOLD

I have one drivers door up for sale. The door is complete (no door cards or rear view mirrors) but includes windows, motors, bumper trim and door lock actuators and handles. There are minor door dings but paint is good. I would like $50 for the driver door Or, $40 for the shell and $35 for the window motor and hardware.

There is some damage to the inside of the drivers door shown here. The door card fit well and you would never see this damage once the door card was installed.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Schwarz? I'm interested in the hood, if it's manageable to ship it. Zip is 32750. I'd also be interested in a non-rusted sunroof panel if you've got it.

Maybe we can work something out on the M-Tech 2 wing I have for sale ;)

That would be cool! The car is schwartz and I do have the sun roof. There is a scratch in it but it worked perfect when the car was running and seeing that it is a Calif car there is no rust in either panel. As soon as it stops raining I can get you some pictures of the sunroof if you like. I would be interested in trying to work something out but I have never shipped something as large as the hood that far away. Please give me some suggestions on shipping methods that you have used and I will check into them on my end.

      Cheers,

      Jim

Yeah, pics of the sunroof would be great. Mine is ok except for one of the mounts is rusted up (damn northern cars). How much are you looking to get for it?

I don't have any tips for shipping large items, other than the usual outlets. Check DHL, UPS, and FedEx. If the shipping is atrocious on it, it's not a big deal. Mine isn't that bad, just has some rust spots around the roundel and a few dings and if I can just swap it out without having to repair stuff I prefer to do that ;)

I have not thought too much about the cost. You don't need any other sunroof parts just the lid right? I will work on shipping costs. I sent a friend that has done lots of this an email and will let you know what I find once he gives me some suggestions. I just swapped out a hood on the Mtech for the very same reasons.

Yeah, just the lid. I bought one for my E28 in great condition for $60 shipped a couple years ago, if that helps. Just let me know what you come up with. Thanks!

$50 bucks for the lid because this one has a pretty bad scratch but no dent. Pictures once the rain lets up. They predict 10 inches this week and for us folks that live in the desert that is HUGE.

I also talked to my buddy and he said that shipping the trunk or your wing would be asking for problems due to shipping costs and damage that may occur to both of our parts traveling across the country. Maybe you could move to sunny California and make this easy.

                    Cheers,

                    Jim

You mean the hood :p I'll watch for pics when you get them. Shipping the wing isn't a problem as long as it's packed well. I got one of them all the way from Germany, so if they can do that without f'ing it up, it can make it to the other side of the country just fine. ;)

No worries shipping the sunroof and I would sell that for $50. We can work out how we will handle shipping once you see the pictures and decide if you want it or not. I think I have the hood sold to a local E30 dude but time will tell. Sorry about that, I think the mind is the first thing to go....

ALL REAR BODY PARTS ARE FREE! But I should of added this picture to the post to clarify condition.

The good news is that this little car totaled a Land Rover.

Here's a little more info on what will be up for sale and what is gone. Front seats, door cards and cluster are gone and dash is cracked. LSD Diff and 5 speed trans swap are going in the Mtech so they are also gone but for all of you that love the wonderful auto trans that will be up for grabs along with its driveshaft. Front plastic bumper and valance will be available sometime in the future as they were put on the Mtech while I do a little work on the Mtech bumper. The rebuilt head has been sold but the block and a head that went through timing belt mayham as well as their associated parts are still available.

The radiadiator support and front horns are good (I would like to offer a custom cut on that just in case you need a little more metal to repair a front end bump). Carpet is gray and in good shape, as are the consoles, rear speaker deck (speakers gone) with third brake light and glove box. Air bag steering wheel is decent but is showing some ware. I will also have some "minor" mechanical parts available like assorted wiring harness's, motor mounts, intakes, air box and the usual. As soon as it stops raining (we got an inch in the last half hour) I will start taking more pictures and either add to this thread or start a new one with a more specific topic. I am working on getting this car gone and looking for another. Feel free to post or PM with any questions.

                            Cheers,

                            Jim

Unless the sunroof requires anything beyond a respray, I'll take it. Wouldn't mind pics though, of course, when you get to it. If you don't sell the hood locally, let me know. =)
