Older AC Schnitzer short shift knob....
I obtained this from a guy off bimmerforums a while back and had it checked out by a few forum members for authenticity since the previous owner could not find his receipt. This knob retailed for $399 which is stupid expensive.
It seems this is indeed real for these reasons.
-all aluminum no plastic.
-black rubber rings are actually black rubber and not painted on
-recessed letters
-the helmet reads automobile technik
-no seams in ball
-original trademarked packaging
Im asking $110 shipped which is on the VERY low end for this knob.
Slight scratches and a little bit of enamel wear in the "s" in shift.
I fully understand that without the receipt there is no absolute guarantee that its genuine but through some solid research I, as well as others believe this is authentic.
