    Feeler: M47 crank, Bored M42 block, Rebuilt head

    I have had a project engine for some time, but i dont think i will ever get around to building it [time, money]

    M47 crank [88mm throw] Machined snout.
    Bored block, 86mm, cleaned and ready to go
    S50 Pistons, 6 included, 4 are good.
    M50 Piston rods
    Rebuilt head, lapped valves polished intake and exhaust.
    M42 headgasket set w/ bolts included

    I can get more pics, these are what I have uploaded at the moment.

    I have about $2000 invested, looking for $1700 shipped inside the lower 48, located in Columbus Ohio

      well, thats where i stopped. either i can run shorter rods, deck the block and dish pistons and have a low compression or mill the pistons and have high compression

        According to my numbers, 135mm rods from a non-Vanos M50 would give 12.1:1 with a stock head gasket.
