Feeler - Euro dogleg close ratio trans

-=SOLD=- I've been on vacation for most of the last 6 weeks and today was my first full day of going to the yards. I found this and all the time I was pulling it I was thinking do I want this in my project car or not? The m20 is going back in it, but as soon as I have it running I will be buying an M30B35 and getting it ready to drop in next year. I won't be able to use it with the big six so why bother with it at all? I don't know.

It was in a 1984 323i and it's either a 242CR or 245CR. I did a goggle search and there is a lots of confusion on all the forums as like me, most of us have never had one of these before. I have the cross member, flywheel cover, and shift linkage. I forgot to get the shift console, but I will pick it up in the morning. None of these parts interchange with the parts in our cars. It turns smooth in all the gears. BTW I also got the Euro flywheel and the 731 head from the car and I will list them for sale tomorrow as I know for sure I don't need them.

What should I do? Someone want to make me sell it?

Please, don't PM me. I am on many different computers and I can only log into this forum from one. Simply use the link to my e-mail - germancarsonly@gmail.com

Hey Jon! Long time, no see. I'm "Muy bueno" as I am finally letting myself be retired and not telling myself I need to keep working everyday at something.

What are you up to? We live like 7 or 8 miles a part and I never see you any more.

I'm getting some e-mail inquires asking how I know this is one of the "Uber rare" close ratio dogleg transmissions. The short answer is because I shifted it through the gears and it is a double "H" pattern. Hello!

The long answer is that I posted 4 photos of the transmission I am thinking about selling. I guess some of you guys don't have a clue as to what the transmission in your car looks like or you wouldn't be asking me questions after looking at the photos I posted. Go crawl under your car for the first time and take a look. Your trans looks nothing like this one.

People are asking how much I will take for the trans and I'm still trying to find what they are selling for currently. There is one on Bimmerforums for $1500 right now, but I think that is way too much. It doesn't look like there has ever been one for sale here on R3V that I could find in the archives. I have seen 3 on eBay, but none in the last year or so. They went for between $800 and $1400.

No, there aren't holes in the bell housing for pickups.

Yup, Danny it will fit an S50

maybe you shouldnt look at what its worth and look at what you payed + reasonable profit... but being that this is the rearl world...

im pretty interested, if its gonna be 600 for a rebuilt 260 (would do that cause the 260 i have is in crap condition) may as well spend the extra for this badass trans, though i should probly do more research on driveshafts etc...

rThor had one for sale for $1k (which i probly couldnt afford :() not sure if it sold or not. Do you have the driveshaft and linkage and everything for it, anyone know if standard m20 clutch will work with one?
