    Feeler: S52 132,000 miles

BUYER BEWARE, I WILL RIP YOU OFF WITH THIS ENGINE

I HAVE POOR TRANSACTION HISTORY, AND HAVE RIPPED PEOPLE OFF IN THE BMW COMMUNITY. I AM VERY DISHONEST, THIS IS A WARNING!!
    - courtesy of the r3vlimited crew

Toying around with selling my S52 engine that I was going to swap in the E30. It was pulled from the 96 M3 down in Jacksonville. The block has a hole in it, but I do have a source to get a better block. The head and all internals are in great shape. I also thought about parting it out. I also have manifold, injectors, throttle body, wiring harness. But no ECU or oil pan. You would also need alternator and all hoses. I will get more pics up

    $1000

I too am curious about the hole in the block. I've been considering picking an S52 up for one of my M3's or something. Is the sourced block a complete short block or bare block (minus pistons/rods/crank)?

The guy I bought it from said that he was pushing the car and heard a noise. We checked the it out before I bought and everything was good condition. The block is what Dave has, I think it is a full block.

Engines don't just randomly get holes in them.

How do you know the head is in good condition? Looks like it's still mounted on the engine.

Ya, for some reason, I can't grasp why a perfectly good motor would create a hole in its block.

Well because we took the head off to look at it. I am not going to sell some trash on r3v to anyone.

Head is good, and the pistons are good shape. Some body just running motor hard.

Don't talk to me like this is my first rodeo. Something happened inside the engine to cause this and you will not convince me otherwise. Your fun little story about the previous owner pushing the car and hearing a noise is hilarious.
