Hi everyone, long time since I've posted
Lately I haven't had the time to dedicate towards my BMW and will soon be buying a new car. So this one has got to go. I'll miss it, and hopefully in the future get another to work on as time permits.
The cars background:
Originally bought two red 87 325iS; one was involved in a t-bone accident and the other had an engine fire. Long story short, the engine/tranny was moved from the one in the accident to the one that had the engine fire. The car has been driven the last few years by me as a daily to and from work. All the work done on the car was performed by me and my father-in-law (was a mechanic at one time in his life - good with cars).
The car:
*Red on Tan 1987 325iS (leather, sport seats ok condition)
*240xxx miles - although engine has approx. 10k less (Have the exact difference written somewhere)
*SSK - Z3 I believe
*JC Chip 173 ECU (copy) - would have to dig around to find the original
*Ireland Engineering Stage III springs
*Bilstien sport shocks
*Sparco strut brace (front)
*Decent set of basketweaves (5 I think)
*Ryan G. splitter
*Euro Ellips / Grills
*Camera Mount (head rest) - never got to use =(
*Clarion 835MP deck
*Working / fully functional OBC
*remote lock/unlock (ebay - installed myself, works great)
Recently replaced:
*Brake pads
*Plugs, head gasket
*Clutch fan
*Thermostat
*Oil change/filter
*License tabs renewed June/July
Problems:
*Paint - old car, old paint - looks good after wash/wax though!
*Driver side window bracket - this is one of the brackets (there are 2 I believe) that hold the window for rolling up/down. Should be an easy fix, just haven't had the time =((
*Sun roof - needs to be greased up again, gets partially stuck sometimes
*Clarion deck - haven't investigated this yet, having trouble ejecting cds
*Driver side sport seat - mechanical issues
*Coolant tank sensor - cooling is fine, the light on the check display randomly comes on though. (currently have it bypassed)
*remnants of fire damage - not really noticeable unless you are looking for it.
Guess that's it for now; all i can think of currently. I will post updates for stuff if I think of more. I am not gonig to part it. I want to sell everything together as I don't have the time. Please let me know what I can expect to see offer wise for this car...I do know that it is worth more sentimentally to me than in $$$; was thinking ~2000.00 but have no idea now-adays as I haven't kept up.
