    PARTING OUT - 1986 325eS

I've accquired a Delphin-grey 1986 325eS parts car on this monday. It's been sitting at a house for just under a year, and was last started 6 months ago. The engine ran perfect when last started according to the owner, and never burned oil or ran hot, and has just over 119k miles. It was parked because of a loud clunking noise in the rear which got louder with speed, and they decided that it would be too much of a hassle/money to repair, which is most likely a failed CSB/driveshaft. The body is straight except for the hood, however the paint is about a 4 out of 10, due to being subjected to the elements for a year. Mostly surface scratches and fading, no dents.

This is what IS NOT available or is MISSING from the car. DO NOT ask for these parts:

Dashboard, rear seat bottom, hood, rear parcel shelf, ebrake console, shift console, instrument cluster, radio, headlights, grilles, cylinder head (I've already claimed that), tool kit.

Post your requests in this thread if you don't see it here, and I'll see what there is on it when I get it on the 29th.

Noted. I'll give you an update on the condition of them tomorrow when I go to leave a deposit on the car.

            Probably not. :D

Dave, I've noted that you want the airdam. Since you spoke up first, you'll get first shot.

                Update to the parts car:

The iS airdam is structurally fine, no cracks. However, it WILL need to be stripped and repainted, it's pretty battered.

The bumper shrouds are in great shape as far as the plastic goes, no waves whatsoever. They are painted Delphin to match the car, but are chipping in some areas, nothing terrible. You could probably touch them up. I thought some might like to know that the side mouldings, b-pillars, and door handles are all painted Delphin as well, with the paint all in reasonably good condition.

The crankshaft will be available. The engine has near 200k on it, not able to determine completely since the cluster is missing. Engine ran perfectly, never burned a drop of anything. All of the engine parts, including the other internals will be available as well. The head will NOT be available.

The M-Tech I wheel "may" have some problems. The leather is nice all the way around except near the bottom, where it is worn and a little damaged looking. My parents own a leather shop, so we will clean it up and try to repair it as best as possible. Those interested may want to look into recovering it.

                Misc stuff:

The driver's side taillight is in good shape, the passenger side is wasted. There are ATE Powerslot rotors on the front, but they have a lot of surface rust. They could be resurfaced for cheap, and look to be in good shape. The carpet is good (grey), but VERY dirty. I will glady steam clean it for whoever is interested. The glovebox and latch both work perfectly. The trunklid is very scratched, but undented. It also has an eS/iS lip. The side windows are tinted, and the tint looks fine, not sure of the percentage.

That's all I can think of for now, post if you are interested in other parts.

                  *BUMP*

I know you guys are always lookin' for parts, so hit me up!

Here's a few more things I thought of that are good from the car. Glovebox and latch with key, window switches, black door handles & map pockets, a set of really good condition basketweaves (from another car), ABS computer and parts, cruise control (works as far as I know), and lots of small stuff.

How much for just the drivers side door pull? Could I see pictures of the sport seats? I'm looking for some local but I don't care to much about the quality of them.

                      EDIT:

Might you be willing to sell me the car in a mostly drivable condition with engine and wiring harness intact? I can offer trade as well as cash. I might be interested so that I can combine two not so good cars to make one very good one. Any parts I don't need I could give to you, just a thought...

                          Check your PM's.

The front airdam is still available, Dave may not be able to spring for it. The front and rear bumpers are spoken for, as well as the black interior panels. Door pulls and map pockets are still available. Other than that, there's lots more stuff left!

I need to get rid of a cone filter on a car i'm very interested in. Please let me know condition of the stock air intake box, and also hood cable, and hood latch (?) (not sure if hood latch is part of hood, or removable, but pls. check for me)

                            thnx!
