Do the dome lights fit in the stock socket or do they have to be hard wired in?

i have an adapter that will fit in the dome, i can retrofit the adapter to the panel to fit. if not, you can mcgyver(hardwire) the panels into the dome to work.

How much brigbter are the domes, how much shipped with the connectors so I don't have to splice to try them out. Post a pic to see the difference and one showing how it sits in the overhead housing of a convertible please.
