The 14816 has tapered tips(is that the right word?)
The 14815's tips are just straight, no roll.

I've had the 14815 before, and it sounds beefy.
Buddy of mine has the 14816 on the e36 and it also sounds great.

Then look closer at the OP's pictures. These are obviously double walled and a MUCH smaller inner diameter than the outer. Also, the outside wall clearly doesn't meet up with the muffler. (Edit: looking at the 14815 picture here, the 5 may also not meet up with the muffler: http://nolimitspeed.com/catalog/ss-e...er-p-4726.html That said, the diameter difference still stands.) This is readily apparent in the last picture.

Finally, go look at pictures of the 14815 and tell me that the rounded end of the muffler tips actually look like this one. Look closely and you'll see that they look completely different.

The link s50dan gave is a generic picture. The 14815's tips are not rolled. I've had the exhaust and sold it to howdyhoaman who also posted in this thread.

The pic OP posted doesn't have rolled tips either. The 14816 does.

The lighting is fooling you on how you mentioned the inner diameter is smaller than outer; it really isn't! Trust me :p
