all I know is i put it on my bosses E30 (bought for him), and it is about an inch wider than the body on either side. otherwise it looks like it fits perfectly.


And yes the cross bars are part of the carrier and lock into the top latches to hold it rigid while in storage

I seen it afterwards. I believe it actually had a gap though I am going to try it again on Monday. If i verify that it is indeed an E30 top though, it will still be for sale.

It's not an E36 top that is for sure. Maybe the Vert you tried fitting it on had been involved in an accident.
