This might be just the picture but I dont see a lip on the surface where the clutch would contact, it should be raised higher than the outer part of the flywheel

That's on a dual mass not on a single mass.

No hes right, the single mass flywheel will also need a small step cut for pp. Its hard to see in the picture but the OP said it has been done.

I misread, I thought he was referring to the opposite where dual mass where the outer edge is much higher than the clutch surface.

.010 lip was machined. Top photo shows it - It's pretty hard to take a photo of a .010 surface difference. its lower than the clutch disc surface so the Pressure plate is loaded against the friction surface. Look at your original flywheel, you can see/feel this.

I have a original un-touched M20 flywheel that anyone local can compare with. You will see the cut is precision and spot on.


this is a Single mass flywheel. Dual mass flywheels look different and do NOT weigh 16#.

Circled in the first photo with sharpie are the Dowel holes. Dowels are removed cleanly, you will need to tap in the 3 pp centering dowels (not included).
