Im interested in buying a alternator to starter upgrade cable. Unfortunately i just bought an oem engine ground cable last month and I'm not sure if i should go ahead and replace that as well. However i was just watching a youtube video about the "big 3". Do you believe that a neg battery terminal to chassis ground would have any benefit? If so, ive got a vert so my battery is under the hood. I also went to your website and saw the combo e30package for $45. Just didn't mention if they were 2AWG or 4AWG

We only use 2awg in our kits unless special order. These heavier cables are all about electrical current delivery, especially for high current load devices like your electrical fans, starter, and alternator. Even performance fuel pumps and stereo systems will benefit. The negative battery terminal is large gauge and well made, no need to redesign it. Be sure its in good condition or buy a new one.

Our website has more info and kits available for sale. bavrest.com

anyone tell me where the m42 cables are supposed to go? I ripped apart my engine to replace the head and some timing case gaskets, and the only cable I could figure out was the passenger motor mount to body ground. Where do I install the other two that come in the kit:

-12 inch power for alternator to starter - is this the cable the goes from the starter into the harness plastic box under the intake, then to the starter?

-10 inch ground for engine to frame grounding - installed, I think this is the one from passenger mount arm to frame?

-7 inch ground for alternator grounding - I beleive one end is on the alternator mounting bracket, but where does it connect to on the actual alternator?
            1991 318is --- currently not road worthy
            1991 318i ---- 308K - retired

              - 12 inch power cable goes from alternator power output lug to starter power input lug. Yes it goes under the intake.
-Correct, passenger mount arm to frame.
-This cable connects to the body of the alternator, there is a factory cable that is already grounding the alternator, swap with new cable.

              Thanks!
