    Chrome Trim Restoration

    Hi all,

I bought a chrome trim restoration kit from Paul Miller @ classictrimcoat.com with the intention of restoring my oxidized trim. However, I picked up a nice clean unoxidized replacement set when I accidentally broke mine off for paint so I will no longer be needing this kit. Youtube video here:

Brand new, nothing has ever been used. Comes with instruction video too. Sell it for $40 shipped

The video shows aluminum oxidation removal. All the while I thought the trim was chrome.

Or can you use the same product for aluminum on chrome?

      Can someone set this straight?

anodized aluminum is waht the trim is made of. its not real chrome so none of the chrome treatments work... if anything it makes it worse. ask me how i know =p

even an alluminum restore kit won't work until you strip off the anodized coating.

You don't have to strip all the anodization off, only the oxidized part. If you sand away all the anodization, this product won't work. Ask me how I know.
