Complete 90 325ix manual part out - All AWD parts are great - Boston, MA

Was out of town for 2 weeks, back now and ready to start pulling parts. Will reply to all people who PM'ed while I was gone ASAP

After much deliberation I'm going to part out my winter ride instead of giving it the love it would need to get ready for this upcoming winter season. All it needs is a throw out bearing, but the body is a rusty pile of shit and the inspection place failed me for rust holes, and I don't want to bother with the body work. I'm located in the Boston, MA area and pickup would be great, but I don't mind shipping. I'm going to start taking it apart today, so not everything is off the car and ready to ship, but if you need something in a hurry I can remove it for you immediately.

    Picture Gallery: http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p...owitz/90325ix/

The car is a 90 325ix manual with 215k miles. I bought it in december of 2010 with 207k and have only driven it in 1.5 winters. As soon as I got it I bought a crashed IX parts car with lower mileage although I don't remember exactly, and combined all the excellent mechanical parts from the crashed car with this one.

Ask about anything, but be advised the paint on almost all of it is trash and many of the body panels have rust. Only mechanical parts I don't feel comfortable promising to anyone until I get them out and inspect is everything steering related, (rack, tie rods, knuckle) because one of them has a bit of play and I'm not sure which yet.

Some of the more sought after parts with prices (shipping not included):

Transfer case came from the parts car and had 40k on new BMW replacement, I put 7k miles on this car since, so it's got 47k on it. Passes jack test flawlessly, thing is so stupid good in the snow it's not even fun. You can drop the clutch in a foot of snow and it grabs and goes.
$500 for transfer case, $850 for complete IX 5 speed swap. Seperately - Tranny $200, single mass clutch/flywheel setup $100 (no guarantee on clutch/PP, and TOB is definitely toast), clutch pedal/slave/master/lines $100

    3.91 diffs - $200 rear (viscous LSD), $100 front

front driveshaft, good splines, was shimmed and greased when I did the transfer case - $100

rear driveshaft, extendable splines in good shape and not stuck, important for actually getting it in and out of the car! - $100

front axles are in great shape with no slop, good boots, no tears - $200 each

front strut housings, good bearings, threads not rusty. Have vw mk2 sachs inserts in them which ride like stock, installed about 10k ago. Only downside is they have a bigger shaft/top nut so you need a severely ground down socket to tighten. Fully assembled with stock springs, good strut hats. $250/side or $400 for the pair.

Motor I believe is original, no paperwork for replacement, but runs perfectly, doesn't leak anything. Will do compression check today and report back findings. Got a bunch of new maintenance parts when I got the car.
Here's a video of the motor running. Be advised, it sounds a bit bad on my speakers but in real life it sounded sweet as silk. This is a nice smooth running M20, valves are quiet as can be, got everything an m20 could wish for 7k miles ago. Anyways here's the vid, I'll probably try another one with the camera in a different location and see if it sounds better. http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p...t=P1080801.mp4
Price on motor $400 pick up only, pending happy compression test.

Booster with master and reservoir - $120

Washer reservoir that sits on the battery tray - $25

    VDO cluster, 215k, everything works - $65

Pass seat is good shape and good working comfort vinyl in tan, to match rear seats - $40

Rear seats are good shape tan vinyl with passthrough - $50 (pickup preferred)

BMW dark blue sheepskin seat covers in good shape, $75 for the pair

Sealed beam buckets with great shape H4 lows. Nice cutoff, have halogen bulbs now but you could put HID's in if you were so inclined. Sealed beam highs. $80 for the pair

all red tails, came with the car not sure what method was used. Red paint is peeling in places, should probably be removed with some solvent and started over. $45 for the pair.

diamond shwartz front bumper by itself $75
including turns with pigtails, shocks, clips for the side with hardware (front bumper swap) $125

    Thule rack $PENDING
    Bike rack $25
Fairing I'm gonna keep for my other car, sorry.

It's aftermarket, fine shape, no cracks or leaks or anything. I'm not sure if it's IX specific to be honest I can't remember whether it came on this or my other parts car or I had it around from a previous E30. But it fits fine. I've heard IX's have a specific cat...do you know what makes them different from a regular I cat? If anybody knows what to look for I would be happy to check/photograph it.

Interested in rear seat with fold down armrest/ski pass. Is the vinyl pearl beige or natur?

believe it's the lighter of the two but I always find the difference less pronounced in vinyl rather than real leather. Pretty sure it's perlbeige though, I'll try to find out for sure or at least take a decent picture of it tomorrow.

Is yours currently bolted on? Pics would help.
