Ive got a nice powder coating start up kit for one of you fellow members. All you need to get started is a curing method (i.e. Toaster Oven, Curing Lamp, or a Spare Household oven. I would not recommend doing this in an oven that gets food cooked in it.)
Its about $20-35 for a lb of powder give or take. And more for the special variants like high temp. I have about 50lbs of powder. If your serious just PM me and ill get the specs for you.
I also have a $400 dollar retail heat lamp available but I still need to retrieve it from storage. PM me for more details.
Whats included (incomplete list)...
PowderCoating Gun
5lbs -
2lbs - Hi-Temp Silver
2lbs - Semi Gloss Black
2lbs - Clear Coat
8oz -
8oz - Lime Green Powder

Honestly after looking at these pics I may put the kit back in service. Im forgetting why I stopped painting also!
As you can see the kit is pretty capable. I never intended for it to be professional quality but with proper prep I was very impressed with the results. And all my parts became protected from rust & the elements, which was my main goal for going the powder coating route. I even powder coated some tools that see regular use to test the finish. I got some in the threads of my spanner wrench and to this day it doesn't turn smoothly. This finish is almost as tough as nails literally.
