How do the USB and cig lighters get wired in?

Good question, the cig lighter wires directly into the original bmw cig lighter wiring ,and the usb you can wire to a switched acc. power source.

How does it mount to the console? If I could get just a blank plate (no cup holders, no usb, no 12v), I could use it to mount my lap timer. LMK

Works perfect with automatic and manual shifters. My shift knob is custom other than that it is stock and yes it will fit stock shifters.

It screws directly into the existing ashtray holes with the same screws no need for modifications. If you would like I can make you a custom panel give me the size and dimension of what you would like to place on the panel.
