Looks like I'm going back to school, and will have even less time and enthusiasm to actually put this plan together.
Basically I doubt many people will be interested in the E36 - but it's up for offer if you want something really fun and that you don't care about bashing.
So the shell rundown:
1992 325is coupe.
Sunroof removed - sheet steel panel riveted in it's place. Looks neat enough, doesn't leak.
Previous E36 rear subframe issue - as in, it ripped itself out of the floor. This happened when I was dailying the car, so it was repaired quickly, not neatly. It was done to be strong as hell, so the mounting points have been plated etc so this wont be an issue again. After the repair, the car went for an alignment and it was mint. It has also stood up to terrible amounts of abuse and shows no sign of being an issue.
Rear inner fenders have been cut to allow maximum lowness
Rear outer fenders were flared as much as possible and smoothed with a layer of bondo
Passenger rear 1/4 took a hit at Western Speedway. Pulled out so it looks alright, but is wavy
Front fenders flared as much as possible - again they have good shape but aren't smooth
All wiring has been removed that isn't needed for the car to run. Still has wipers, and lights are wired to a single switch - but that's it
heater core removed and hole blanked with a riveted plate
E30 headlights tacked onto front panel - easy removed if you don't like it
M3 sideskirts
M3 bumper with Chevvy lip
All glass is mint
Will be rolling, stock front end. Welded 3.91 diff
Basically, it's a rough track car shell, but is straight and true. No bullshit to work around and get in the way.
Then....
Ford 5.0 EFI engine from an '88 foxbody Mustang + T5 transmission. All stock, pulled from a rolled car. Wiring harness, clutch etc all included. Just needs ECU. I also have the driveshaft front piece (was cut) - which makes things easier.
Together, this combo would dominate everything. Or, I can split things up.
