45mm must be a 318 right?

yes 84-85 318 had the smaller(lighter) 45mm strut housings, but you can use 45mm inserts in either housing you just cant go the opposite way obviously and put a 55mm insert in a 45mm housing. Billstein makes a adapter gland nut to center the smaller inserts in the larger housings.
