Premium ballast are a 'medium' sized ballast. Benefits of this extra space is a larger heat sync, rubber injection molded and higher quality components. Of course igniter is inside the ballast instead of inline like on the slims. The 35W Premium is brighter than the 35W Slim and most basic kits on the market.
35W Slim is a quality kit though. Not to take anything away from it and more budget oriented.
55W is the brightest. All 55W are slim, yes.
Sorry, but I'm still confused.
I have the ordinary sealed beams in my 1991 318i
What is involved with doing this conversion?
If someone could do a "How To" writeup with pictures and also comparisons of the
premium and narrow versions, etc, it would really help those of us who are unsure.

Would need to start with different headlights.
US Projectors, Depo Projectors, Hella/Bosch Euro etc. Or we can do a set of Bi-Xenon Depo Based projectors. The Sealed Beam cannot be directly upgraded with anything that would be an 'upgrade'.
