OEM Hella Ballasts and Phillips D2S

    SOLD......

I was running these in my e30, i fitted the D2S into US Spec Ellipsoids by popping the metal ring out, placing the bulb in and pressing the ring back on.

The amount of brightness these things put out is insane. These killed DDM and even Morimotto. No offense to DDM or Morimotto, they make great kits, i like them too.

I switched to smileys after a long time and won't be going back to US spec, i can't fit the d2s into smiley so here it is. Bulbs are 4300K.

    PRICE:
    $75 OBO.. + $10 shipping.

Yes. They are not "designed to" fit the 9006 socket but they will fit if you do what i did.
Plug and Play otherwise. You may bump up the ampere of the LOW BEAM fuses up to 15 amps from 7.5/10 amps (Not required though).
        Thats about it.

D2S are not PNP at all for 9006. Very different shape.
9006 is 3 prongs at roughly 60° from each other and D2S is 2 prongs 180° from each other. From drawings they're different size diameters as well.

What lights do you have? 4 main projectors: Hella US, Hella EU, Bosch US, and Bosch EU. Bosch also made smiley versions of those 2 as well.
If you get mini D2S 3.0 projectors ($140), you can use these bulbs and ballasts. You'll just have to mod your headlights... Which might be difficult and is definitely not PNP. Great setup though.
To be honest these are excellent ballasts and bulbs and an excellent price!
