Nice work, I own a leather company and would like to offer some advice on thread: use bonded nylon T138, he is snapping thread because it is not made to handle this work. It is clear from the photos the threading is thin, all of my work is done with a double pass of T69 or 70 or single passes of T138. I am all about helping other leather artists out! he is doing a solid job.

This is just advice, please don't take it the wrong way! I have covered a wheel before but it is honestly not worth my time to branch into this market.

The thread that was being snapped was a different thread than what is in these pictures and was used in the very early/ experimental stages of learning to do the wheels. The current thread appears thin but is very strong and has had no issues. Could you pm me your contact info?

I've got an old 4-spoke Formuling France billet wheel that I might like to pay you guys to recover if you think you'd be down. Very simple wheel.

Just to clarify for anyone wanting to get their wheel recovered, we use T69 polyester thread that is used in almost all automotive leather applications. We have had no problems with strength or durability.

can you color match leather and make seat bolsters? or just wheels for now? I've got a wheel or two that could use fresh leather..

Definitely. Pm me some more details of what you are wanting.

Love those 924 wheels with the triangle shield BTW!

Not doing seat bolsters for the forum at the moment but it won't be long.
