This is true. Big difference in quality, especially if your car sees any road salt.

OEM must have changed because from the factory they were made by eberspaecher, BMW may have changed suppliers in the past years to Boysen.

You can still get the eberspaecher exhaust which is part number 21.386.84 for about $315 USD.
