Are you sure the rear is for diving boards and not euro?
From what I've seen the hole in the rear valance is for the tow hook that sticks out with euro bumpers

Agree, hole seems to be to accommodate tow loop on late/Euro setups. However, the BBS info I found long ago indicated that p/n fit pre '89, (which does not account for '88 changes) although it seems to fit plastic bumper cars just as well. Wish there were better info on this setup.

If I had a US early to test fit it on to I certainly would.

I had a rear valance but it was for diving boards not euro and I remember the length of the sides being longer then I needed
          I wish I had taken a measurement

Purchase preference to someone who wants the entire set of parts first.

I can undoubtedly set you up with a set of Euro bumpers at a good price if you buy these should you be so inclined.

This mounts in the same holes as an "is" spoiler, no drilling required!

Examples taken from around the web, if interested in more try searching E30 Pfeba heckspoiler:

This spoiler is made entirely from the same type of foam-rubber that makes up the main section of an MTech 1 spoiler, and as such has a matte type finish. I suspect that the original intent of the spoiler was to leave it as is, but clearly some people like it painted, or painted them when they found them in poor condition.
