Vintage Early Motorsport Roundels

I'm happy to announce that these are finally ready to purchase! ;D

You're looking at a hand drawn, painstakingly perfected early BMW Motorsport logo in the original BMW Motorsport colours. The logo was designed to look like it was created in a time when BMW owned only one computer, and many long hours were invested into this result.

The base is injection molded chrome plated plastic, and the roundel itself is a composite of an aluminum layer for the chrome effect, plastic for the colours, and a special high quality U.V. protectant layer to finish it off.

The result was designed to outlast all previous efforts; given that I'll be using these myself on cars parked outside in direct sunlight I'll be testing their durability personally.

The roundels are currently available in two sizes:

84 mm Trunk / Boot Roundel (heavily convexed profile and large bevel)

The hood roundel is 82 mm and is available above. The trunk roundel is 70 mm and is also available from San Jose BMW in a cloisonne enamel version which is reportedly pretty durable. They won't match, but you'll never see them both side by side anyway. :)

Tourings are standard E30 fitment.

Hello I'm interested in purchasing a couple of these roundels. You don't mention the rear trunk emblem for a MZ3 M Coupe. It looks like you have the size for the front Z3 hood emblem. Do you have one for the Z3 coupe trunk hatch? I just measured the hood and trunk emblems and the front is 81.4mm and the rear is 69.7mm. Do you have these sizes? Thanks, Dennis

They've started shipping already, and will ship based on when the order was received. These are each hand finished, so they take a bit of time to produce in the small batches they're being made in. Quality takes some time, but they're getting send out!

I have been wanting something like this since I first laid eyes upon the vintage Motorsport logo! Great work on them, they look top notch. Will these still be available in a few months? I have some body work and painting to get done before my car will be ready for something so awesome.
