Yes. Researched this for many years. I actually have the OEM cargo box straight out of the 1987 accessories catalog for the car as well. Had these "spares" on my E28 that I sold.

How do they attach? Just by the gutter like Thule/Yak?

They go inside the doors but they fit *perfectly*. It's so cool. The plastic shroud covers them up ever-so-nicely, never catching, and the doors close smoothly over the feet. It's one of those things you have to see to believe as the fit is so good it could only be a factory part.

I searched for some of the stuff like (82129401432) and it came up in ESC as an 8-ski rack. Does that mean this stuff is still available???

Never mind, the rack is (82129413110) which is NLA, but thanks for posting the pic.
