Truth is Koni doesn't make stock rear adjustables for E-30's. those shocks are either modified E-30 shocks or...

The Koni's in that picture are more than likely built for another car, usually: Koni part Number: Rear 8041 1186SPORT Mustang, All Models (Exc. IRS rear susp.) It has been questioned if they need to be re-valved to work well on e-30's, some say just twist the nob, others say your nuts if you don't.

I've heard of prices up to $750 for a set of top adjust singles. The best deal I've seen is under $500. If you were going to buy them straight from a discount online shock seller, "untouched", you'd get them for $550.

Do you know what part number those rear shocks in that picture are? Just curious, thanks!

I have top adjustable for the rear of my E30 as well. Yes, they are for a Mustang I believe, Item number 8041-1186. For the front I use 8610-1437 these are from corrado I think, you can either cut the strut housing 2 inches to fit the shorter shock, or put a 2in spacer in the bottom of the strut. I use this set up with the ground control coil over kit. I paid $550 for all four shocks. They work great.

Did you have the shocks modified at all? Re-valved? or did you just buy them off the shelf and slap them on? How do they work?

I've heard many times that the set up was Vw front, Mustang rear.

Any one using different part numbers?

If there's enough interest in this idea I'll paste a thread in general discussion or suspension.
