Wouldnt it be easier just to get stronger head bolts? Welding the holes 80% or so has to cause some sort of problems?

It all depends on how much power ya trying to get.

I was going for a minimum 500 rwhp capability. So this was done to decrease the probability that anything would break or give. Thats why I did a built bottom end and bought the cam to make sure that my VE would go to shyte when going over 450hp.

Pistons are 8:1 JE and 85 mm
