FS : Front Strut Bar for E30s CHEAP

It does not fit M10 cars correctly due to the distributor location , this is for M20 cars, might also fit S14 and M40 cars but don't quote me on it.

I bought it used , it was installed in a 87 325is track car, it's either a Sparco or IE bar, but it does not have any stickers or markings on it.

$60 + actual s/h of your choice or local pick up. Used, has a few scratches but works / bolts up obviously like new lol.

I'll find out by the end of the week. Cheapest would probably be to wrap the ends in cardboard and then wrap the whole thing in multiple layers of bubblewrap . BMA shipped my cat-back that way and it arrived fine... so maybe $15-20?

Can you measure the distance between the strut holes? I need the shorter IE bar because my strut towers couldn't fit the sparco.

What exactly do you want me to measure, the distance between the inside edge of the strut towers on my car or the distance between the mounting holes on the bar itself ? It was a very tight fit for my car, but the problem was with the bar hitting the top of the distributor/spark plug wires once I switched back to OEM engine/tranny mounts. It worked with IE mounts with less engine/tranny movement in the engine bay.

That's got to be an IE strut bar.....I have the same thing on my car. There are two widths - 38.75" or 39.50". My car happens to be the latter. That will fit all 6-cylinder E30s except the ix and it will work on the M3 as well. For the 325s you have to modify the cruise control connection to clear it (I just disconnected mine).

Jean - you can determine the spec on that bar by measuring the width at the forward mounting hole (the one on the longer of the two flanges - from the center of each mounting hole). I just did this on my car and the distance is 36.5" while the distance from strut center to strut center is 39.5". If the bar you have measures less than the figure I have, the bar you have is the shorter of the two versions IE carries.
