will this plug in to pretty much any M30, or does it need to be a specific generation?
    I'm interested.

You know im not sure... I wanna say yes but there could always be a slight difference. Check realoem.com and see if the oil filter housings are the same for the different generation M30's.

How is your swap coming along by the way

you see, what had happened was... (sigh)
Engine swap is like 10th on my priority list right now. Even though I have about 80% of the parts and most of the tools....

I'm getting to it, I promise.
What gen did this come from. I have an '86 3.5

          That's an E28 Euro canister.

Weird but the cooler lines seem to go to the passenger side (?)

O really, well it fits on the e34 just fine. The M3 cooler lines go to the driver's side.

Anyway, whoever send the money first will get it. I need to get rid of it!
I'm assuming you both are doing m30 swaps?
I have an "i" engine harness, 179 computer, 150 computer and a few other m30 goodies, let me know!

Oh, crap. I just misread the original post. It's an M3 cooler. I'm thinking it's from the same car as the canister.

Did you actually have it installed in an E34?

I had the oil cooler installed on my e30 with the m30.

I am using the 179 Computer, It is motornic 1.3 so it has all the check engine light features.
The 150 computer is 1.1, which only has 4 engine light codes, thats the only difference i think, but they are both originally used on the newer m30's (e32 e34) but can be adapted to the older m30's as an ugrade i believe. Anyway, i have both those computers for sale, $40 each.

Sounds good :) They are both stock, however I am running a chipped one in my car now. The ebay chips seem to work fine, you can definitely tell the difference.
