FS: M30 AFM Very Clean $50

    Hi,

I have for sale a very clean M30 AFM. This is a nice upgrade, inexpensive upgrade for any 325I/IS. AFM is missing one of the screws (shown in picture #2, bottom right) but will not affect performance/security. Good working condition.

    Located in Van Nuys, CA.

    $50 picked up/$60 shipped lower 48

    Thanks for looking.

    Jon

This thing for sure just fits onto an m20 instead of the stock box?

You need to swap the electronics out of the M20 AFM, its not difficult, just need to be careful. There are write ups on it.

The hole is bigger as well, so you need a bigger filter and tubing to the throttle body, or at least an adapter

        edit: or not

Not exactly... The stock one stretches enough, but if it is really old and dried out it may crack if your not careful.

Oh I was just wondering because there's one of these sitting in the backyard in a parts car and I might want to experiment. thanks

Definitely worth doing, especially if you already have one.

Did you run bigger injectors when you did this swap? If so, what size?

I have a M30 AFM I have yet to install on my car, but the common combination was E36 M3 injectors with this AFM. I also have the MarkD chip that accommodates this combination too.

I've got an M30 AFM, M50 injectors, and a chip on my otherwise stock M20 and it's an awesome setup!

I'm running an M30 AFM with 19lbs injectors and a custom chip. Very worth the upgrade.
