This is a common problem for both E32's and E34's, the LKM controls the outside lighting of the vehicle. It has been known to fail as a result of dirt, water, or a broken contact in the unit. This is why I am offering up a mint, dry LKM from a E32 735i. I tested the unit in both of my parent's E34's and all front and rear lights functioned properly. I am asking $75 + shipping for the unit, which is quite fair considering the dealer's $375 asking price.
Whether you are buying this unit to replace an old, worn-out unit or if you're buying a spare to keep in the car (e.g. on long trips, etc.) it's a good investment.
