FS g240 trans mission

So i suddenly have a g240 from an M10 that was supposed to go into my e12 528i but i have run into some complications and i am going to wait for a more properly suited trans so i can have things like a speedometer.

If you are looking for a trans for your m30 swap or just for your 318 this will work great. Came from a car that was rear ended, and seems to go thru the gears fine when just moving the selector.

I can get pictures if there is interest tomorrow. local would be great , but i have no problems shipping at buyer expense. 318 shift plate and shifter also available.

there is no way that the 240 would hold up to a m30. My 24v kills a 240 in about a month of normal driving.

good and tight was pushing 400 odd HP and gobs of torque.

whats your 24v pushing and the g240 from an m10 bolts to that?

240 from a late 318 is different from the early 240 from I what gather. I believe is it an e21 320i driveshaft that's needed to match the m30+early 240 combo?

i was going to use use a 240 early 318 on my m30 swap...they hold up plenty fine, free bumpage!

and i believe your right, from reading it sounds like the early ones were mighty strong and i think its the later ones that give it the bad name... thanks for the e21 info as well! If some one has solid interest in this in the next week for an M30 swap i can actually grab that drive shaft out of the local PNP to go along with thte sale!
