After hours of contemplation I am considering parting out my IX. If there is enough interest in parts I will follow through, unless someone is interested in the entire package.. The reason for the part out is the extensive bodywork it needs; including the rust damage.
The car is an 88 Alpine white. I have sunk gracious amounts of money into it about 400 miles ago. Suspension has new, m3 control arm bushings, outer ball joints, new HD bilsteins up front, sway bar bushings in the front, new links in the rear, HR springs all around. The steering rack was also completely rebuilt and new tie rod ends were installed. The front calipers where rebuilt, new pads and rotors were installed. The freshly painted wheels have brand new BF-Goodrich G-force TA's. The engine has compression #'s between 160-165 psi, new cam seal w/ o-ring, valve cover gasket, oil change. Additionally, it has a m30 afm w/ small afm internals and a modified stock airbox. Both differentials received output seals ( the front also received a new o-ring mating it to the oil pan). The passenger side front axle also received new boots. The transmission received a new shift shaft output seal, along with new shifter bushings. About 7k miles ago the car received all new belts and hoses; including the timing belt.
The chassis has 175k on it, the transfer case and front differential where replaced at a tad over 100k. The seats work, the driverside has a small tear in the bolster. I also have a spare engine and freshly painted driverside fender.I would highly suggest this car to someone who has a solid e30 tub and is capable of building it into an IX. Car is located on Long Island, about 90 miles from NYC.
