Whats up guys, I figured there might be some interest so I decided to start producing these for the community. What your looking at is the correct firewall plate needed for keeping your steering column boot secured after installing a Z3 or e36 steering rack into your e30. This plate is only need for late model e30's, e30's which originally came from the factory with a airbag steering wheel. Basically without this plate your steering column boot has no way to stay "clipped in place" which can cause a number of issues including:
-Water entering the cabin
-Excess Wind noise
-The boot no longer being held in place
-Cold feet while driving in cold weather
These are hand made and hand cut in my house, made on my spare time. The price reflects my time and shipping. Note: You will still need "E30 Late Model Steering Rack Spacers" and of course, the actual e36/ Z3 steering rack. Please refer to the DIY video on how to install.
All you need is this plate and the steering rack spacers to install a e36 steering rack in your late model e30. You do not need to modify your steering knuckle if you use my plate and follow my DIY video bellow.
